Peter TURNLEY
Peter. N. Turnley is a photojournalist born in America. He is known for his excellent work documenting the human condition, because of this he has received doctorates from the New School of Social Research in New York and in 2000 Harvard University awarded him a Nieman Fellowship.
This is a strong photograph because there is a large depth of field, pretty much everything is in focus, and yet the main focus is the couple. It shows that even though there is a lot of people around them and many things going on they are still focused on each other. The use of the black and white effect makes the picture appear more rustic and romantic.

The black and white effect as well as the large depth of field is still apparent in this photograph but there are a few contrasting features. There isn't anyone else in the picture except the couple and there isn't anything else to focus on. This creates a whole different feel and vibe to the last one. Where as the other photo creates a rustic feel this one creates a very modern feel. However, they both capture romance and companionship.

Exam Preparation
For my exam piece I am going to make the pictures I have take look like polaroids and stick them onto a canvas in the shape of a heart. In order to use more of my pictures and make the canvas look more interesting I will stick non-polaroid pictures I have taken onto the canvas as well as words and song lyrics associated with the exam question of 'companionship'.
Here I have practiced making the pictures look like polaroids using photoshop.
I then bought a canvas and practiced making the polaroids into a heart shape. (The polaroids in this picture were not taken by me)
I then used a website called Wordle to make song lyrics about companionship look more creative.
